As discussões sobre mercados de carbono e o Artigo 6 do Acordo de Paris darão o tom da participação do CEBDS no segundo dia da COP 25, que acontece de 2 a 13 de dezembro, em Madri. Karen Tanaka, gerente técnica do CEBDS, e Monique Gonçalves, da Shell (empresa associada ao CEBDS), apresentam experiências do setor empresarial brasileiro durante o workshop “Diálogo de Negócios em mercados de carbono e Artigo 6”, promovido pela International Emissions Trading Association (IETA), no IETA Business Hub (Pavilhão 8A08), às 14h (horário de Madri).
O workshop é dividido em três painéis que abordarão o do panorama da precificação de carbono no mundo, e em destaque na América Latina, como os mercados de carbono podem contribuir para as NDCs e para estratégias de longo prazo, além do Artigo 6 e as expectativas para a COP 25.

This scene setting discussion will look at the outlook for carbon markets and carbon pricing worldwide, covering domestic and regional systems as well as international initiatives. A panel of experts will examine the main benefits of carbon markets and carbon pricing and will discuss the private sector views on carbon markets.
This session will also look at how carbon markets can contribute to NDC achievement to the development of long-term strategies. The panel discussion will be followed by a Q&A and open floor discussion with the audience.
