{"id":38173,"date":"2025-11-27T15:03:38","date_gmt":"2025-11-27T18:03:38","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cebds.org\/?post_type=artigo&#038;p=38173"},"modified":"2026-01-23T09:45:15","modified_gmt":"2026-01-23T12:45:15","slug":"a-cop-da-implementacao-e-da-continuidade","status":"publish","type":"artigo","link":"https:\/\/cebds.org\/en\/artigo\/a-cop-da-implementacao-e-da-continuidade\/","title":{"rendered":"The COP of implementation and continuity"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>Many seeds planted in Amazonian soil will still have time to bear fruit, but they already reveal Brazil&#039;s capacity for leading historical coordination and cooperation.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>By Marina Grossi*<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Among the many nicknames that COP30 received \u2013 \u201cCOP of the Amazon\u201d, \u201cCOP of the Forest\u201d, \u201cCOP of Truth\u201d \u2013 the one that proved most true was \u201cCOP of Implementation\u201d. The Bel\u00e9m package, the name given to the set of 29 texts resulting from two weeks of negotiations in the capital of Par\u00e1, provides an effective response to the climate emergency and restores the weight of multilateralism by proposing to accelerate implementation and international cooperation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>One example is the new Global Implementation Accelerator, an initiative launched under the leadership of COP30 and COP31 to support countries in adopting climate commitments and national adaptation plans. It was an important outcome of the Action Agenda, which runs parallel to the negotiations. Born with the Paris Agreement, it has become a key element in mobilizing civil society, academia, and the business sector. The COP30 presidency reformulated the mechanism, organizing it into six thematic axes \u2013 from energy transition to human development \u2013 and 30 objectives.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The business sector readily heeded the call for global climate action. The months leading up to the conference were marked by unprecedented mobilization, with 270 entities united in four strategic coalitions \u2013 Transport, Electricity, Agriculture, and Essential Minerals \u2013 demonstrating that it is possible to integrate entire sectors around the same purpose. This movement places Brazil at the forefront of climate implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Another contribution came from the presentation of practical solutions. Brasil de Solu\u00e7\u00f5es, a collection of best practices from companies associated with CEBDS, brought together 135 high-impact projects across 18 sectors of the economy. This effort was complemented by CASE (Climate, Action, Solutions and Engagement) and SB COP (Sustainable Business COP30), resulting in the joint delivery of a compilation of 800 mapped initiatives, 144 of which were pre-selected and submitted to the COP30 Presidency. This portfolio, replicable both domestically and internationally, demonstrates the high level of maturity of the business deliverables and will be one of Bel\u00e9m&#039;s legacies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:18px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>COP30 concludes with a clear message of continuity.
