{"id":22270,"date":"2014-06-24T18:08:14","date_gmt":"2014-06-24T18:08:14","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cebds.org\/noticia\/acao-2020-e-tema-de-encontro\/"},"modified":"2023-06-22T19:54:13","modified_gmt":"2023-06-22T19:54:13","slug":"acao-2020-e-tema-de-encontro","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/cebds.org\/en\/noticia\/acao-2020-e-tema-de-encontro\/","title":{"rendered":"Action 2020 is the theme of the meeting."},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Representatives from member companies participated in the Ordinary General Meeting (OGM), which elected the new <a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/cebds.org.br\/sobre-o-cebds\/governanca-corporativa\/estrutura-organizacional\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>Administrative Council<\/b><\/a>, The body responsible for providing strategic guidance for CEBDS&#039;s actions re-elected President Marina Grossi, in accordance with the new <a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/cebds.org.br\/sobre-o-cebds\/governanca-corporativa\/estatutos\/estatuto-social\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><b>statute<\/b><\/a> for a 5-year term. The executive director, Lia Lombardi, presented the annual activity report, with all the actions carried out since the last Annual General Meeting and those planned for the second half of the year.<\/p>\n<p>The highlight was the Action 2020 program, formally presented for the first time to the group of members, in addition to the Agenda for Candidates, the CEO Meeting Cycle, and the activities of the Thematic Chambers. Action 2020 is a platform that starts from an understanding of science in areas that are close to the limit of their existence, such as water, energy, climate change, and land use. From there, the project identifies objectives, business solutions, and public policies capable of enabling a path towards a more sustainable country, as well as verifying whether we are on track towards the Brazil 2050 Vision.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cAfter launching Vision Brazil 2050, we need to lower the bar and start putting it into practice today, implementing the solutions and measuring the results, which is why this platform is so important,\u201d said Marina Grossi.<\/p>\n<p>In the first part of the meeting (Ordinary General Assembly), Marcos Bicudo, <i>chairman<\/i> The CEBDS representative spoke about the importance and relevance the Council gained after Rio+20 and how the planning was developed internally. &quot;After Rio+20, the spotlight turned to CEBDS, and it was necessary to work on an internal strategy and plan to gain strength and maintain the space achieved,&quot; the executive explained.<\/p>\n<p>The president argued that CEBDS&#039;s goal with its planning is to make the Council increasingly relevant, citing as an example the more strategic role of the Thematic Chambers, an important forum for the development of CEBDS&#039;s work. Lia Lombardi presented the changes and advancements in structure and governance, with the completion of the Strategic Plan.<\/p>\n<p>Opening the second part of the meeting, the Annual Members&#039; Meeting, Bicudo recounted his experience in Cambridge and the impact of the information, mainly related to the topic of consumption (see: <a href=\"http:\/\/cebds.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/Apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o-Marcos-Bicudo.pdf\">Presentation by Marcos Bicudo<\/a>CEBDS promoted the first course last year. <i>Business and Sustainability Program<\/i> In November, a second class will be held.<\/p>\n<p><b>Dynamics<\/b><\/p>\n<p>To dive into <a href=\"http:\/\/cebds.org.br\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/06\/A\u00e7\u00e3o-2020.pdf\">Action 2020<\/a>, CEBDS, with the support of the consulting firm Pares, has prepared a dynamic for collaborative work with its members, the results of which will help in the construction of the project. The project, led by CEBDS&#039;s Project and Content Manager, Ana Carolina Szklo, who presented the content, has already consulted Brazilian experts in the first phase of defining the objectives and is now entering the workshop phase with the companies. Throughout the project, CEBDS will seek to maintain its characteristic of joint construction with its members, exploring the engagement and active participation of the various areas involved in building a platform of this magnitude.<\/p>\n<p>\u201c&quot;We are working together with the global network of <i>World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD)<\/i> and focusing on what was done globally, in <b><a href=\"http:\/\/http:\/\/action2020.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Action 2020<\/a>. <\/b>This gives us the advantage of being able to build together and also influence the global project,\u201d the president stated.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Assembly elects a new Board of Directors.
