{"id":36032,"date":"2025-07-01T13:47:37","date_gmt":"2025-07-01T16:47:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cebds.org\/?post_type=noticia&#038;p=36032"},"modified":"2025-07-01T13:47:41","modified_gmt":"2025-07-01T16:47:41","slug":"helder-barbalho-bioeconomia-evento","status":"publish","type":"noticia","link":"https:\/\/cebds.org\/en\/noticia\/helder-barbalho-bioeconomia-evento\/","title":{"rendered":"Helder Barbalho, Governor of Par\u00e1, addresses the potential of the Bioeconomy, Carbon Market and COP30 at the Sustainable Congress 2025"},"content":{"rendered":"<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><em>The Governor of Par\u00e1, Helder Barbalho, highlighted today (01), during the Sustainable Congress 2025, the potential of the Bioeconomy and the Carbon Market to boost the green economy of the state and Brazil, in preparation for COP30<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>At the event organized by the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), which takes place today (01), at the Gas\u00f4metro Theater, in Bel\u00e9m, Par\u00e1, the Governor addressed the preparation for COP30, which takes place in the state capital in November this year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Alongside Ana Toni, executive director of COP30, and Marcelo Brito, COP30 special envoy for the subnational states of the Amazon, Barbalho also highlighted how the Bioeconomy and the Carbon Market can help revolutionize the green economy of the state of Par\u00e1 and all of Brazil.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Governor highlighted the creation of the Amazon Bioeconomy and Innovation Park, a space designed to be self-sustainable and that will function as a major biobusiness accelerator, supporting forestry products and services. Helder Barbalho also mentioned the Carbon Market as a crucial point for Brazil and the State of Par\u00e1, due to its green area and renewable energy potential.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center\"><strong>\u201cWe must ensure that the living forest is worth more than the dead forest,\u201d highlighted Helder Barbalho.\u00a0<br><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What is Bioeconomy?<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:20px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>The bioeconomy is a development model that uses biological resources, such as biodiversity, standing forests and sustainable agriculture, as a basis for generating innovation, income and economic growth. In Brazil, it represents a unique opportunity to combine environmental preservation and productive inclusion, especially in the Amazon and Cerrado biomes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>With the greatest biodiversity on the planet, local production chains and traditional knowledge, the country can lead this global movement, creating sustainable solutions for sectors such as energy, food, cosmetics and pharmaceuticals.
