The decarbonization of international air and maritime transport requires solutions capable of reducing emissions in sectors where direct electrification still faces technical and operational limitations. The joint declaration presents sustainable biofuels as a strategic alternative for this transition, highlighting their potential to replace fossil fuels, stimulate innovation, generate employment and income, and strengthen low-carbon production chains. The document also proposes guidelines to expand this agenda on an international scale, focusing on regulatory harmonization, certification and traceability, technological development, sustainable use of degraded areas, trade integration, and strengthening multilateral governance.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
