Trophy recognizes the relevance of the positioning signed by 119 CEOs and 14
\nsector entities, which defends a green economy in Brazil
\nRio de Janeiro, October 10, 2022 \u2013 CEBDS (Business Council
\nBrazilian for Sustainable Development) has just been announced
\nwinner of the Aberje Communication Award for the dissemination of
\nPositioning Entrepreneurs for the Climate. The regional trophy for the biggest award
\ncountry's communications department recognizes the scope of the work developed in
\nname of the business sector in the defense of sustainable development.
\nThe document, released in September 2021, is signed by 119 CEOs
\nand 14 sector entities asking Brazil to embrace a green economy.
\nIts construction began at the Council of Leaders, which brings together the presidents
\nof associated companies, to present the vision of the business sector
\non the country's development. In the document, CEBDS vocalizes the actions
\nof companies and demands action from public authorities to address the
\nglobal warming.
\nOver the past year, CEBDS has developed actions in the press that
\nresulted in a headline in Estad\u00e3o and interviews for Globo and CNN,
\nfor example; posts on social networks; meetings with ministers and governors;
\nmeetings with civil society.
\nThe Council also presented the position of the Brazilian business sector in
\nCOP 26, the UN Climate Conference held in Glasgow, Scotland. The
\ndocument was hand-delivered to the president of COP 26, the British Alok
\nSharma.
\nAberje (Brazilian Association of Business Communication) is the main
\nreference in Brazil in business communication. The entity carries out the
\naward for 48 years, recognizing the projects that stood out the most in the
\ncountry. CEBDS won in the regional category and is now competing for the award
\nnational with four other cases.
