CEOs, vice-presidents and directors of the following companies were present: Acciona, Ambev, Arcadis, Banco do Brasil, BNDES, BNP Paribas, Braskem, CBA, Ecolab, Eletrobras, Eneva, ERM, JBS, Neoenergia, Nutrien, Prumo Log\u00edstica, Schneider Electric, Shell, Siemens, Siemens Energy, Unilever, Vibra Energia and Yara.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The document elaborates on the six priority axes of the Green Package: sustainable finance, bioeconomy, energy transition, green infrastructure and sanitation, technological expansion and circular economy. On the last June 16th, also in S\u00e3o Paulo, the CEBDS had already had a meeting with the minister and his team, in which these axes were pointed out. Based on this meeting, the Brazilian business sector developed the document delivered today, with the main challenges, opportunities, CEBDS proposals and the potential for private sector collaboration for each of the axes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>The Green Package is seen by the productive sector as a tool with the potential to direct the important and necessary investments in infrastructure in the country towards the transition to a green economy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>For the construction of recommendations, CEBDS carried out a survey with its associates, who collaborated with suggestions, and based it on best practices in global agendas on topics that should guide trade relations in the near future, such as decarbonization, productivity gains and sharing fair range of benefits \u2013 environmental, economic and social.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>In the document, the Council lists as the main flags the eradication of poverty, the regulated carbon market and the classification of activities according to their environmental and climate impact, the so-called green taxonomy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>\u201cThis work is the result of a vision of the future and an interest in constructive dialogue with the federal government of the CEBDS Council of Leaders, formed by CEOs of large groups, which has already exposed some of these points in previous meetings with Minister Fernando Haddad, in June , and with vice-president Geraldo Alckmin, in May\u201d, explains the president of CEBDS, Marina Grossi.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br>Among the proposals of the business sector are: the implementation of financial and economic measures focused on sustainability; public policies that encourage more sustainable practices by companies and individuals; the creation of a regulated carbon market in Brazil, following the cap-and-trade system, to accelerate the transition to a low-carbon economy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions; direct and mobilize resources at scale, filling the investment gap in the ecological transition in Brazil; and guaranteeing the rights of indigenous peoples and traditional communities.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The document produced by CEBDS also mentions: supervision and accountability for environmental crimes; efficiency and transparency in the monitoring of biomes and provision of data in real time; regulation of instruments that enable the implementation of Payment for Environmental Services (PSA) programs; promotion of public policies to stimulate the rural family producer in the production chains, in order to encourage the transition to regenerative agriculture; creation of a National Energy Transition Policy; promotion of decarbonisation opportunities in road, sea and air transport; public-private partnerships to drive the development and commercialization of green technologies; capacity building and training programs for human resources in the areas of sustainable technologies; implement a National Circular Economy Policy, carrying out consultations and advancing with the processing of bill No. 1874, of 2022; ensure that major works consider initiatives committed to good practices, such as the absorption of rainwater and distancing from risk areas.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><br><strong>The full document can be accessed at <a href=\"https:\/\/cebds.org\/en\/publicacoes\/recomendacoes-cebds-para-o-pacote-verde\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">link<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Documento elaborado pelo CEBDS avalia os 6 eixos do pacote e foi entregue em m\u00e3os na presen\u00e7a de CEOs e diretores de 23 empresas associadas O CEBDS (Conselho Empresarial Brasileiro para o Desenvolvimento Sustent\u00e1vel) entregou nesta sexta-feira, 28 de julho, um documento com avalia\u00e7\u00f5es e recomenda\u00e7\u00f5es ao Minist\u00e9rio da Fazenda em rela\u00e7\u00e3o ao Plano de [&hellip;]<\/p>\n","protected":false},"featured_media":29108,"template":"","meta":{"_acf_changed":false},"categories":[15,9,36,16,17],"class_list":["post-29088","release","type-release","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-advocacy","category-clima","category-institucional","category-mercado-de-carbono","category-net-zero"],"acf":[],"yoast_head":"<!-- This site is optimized with the Yoast SEO plugin v25.6 -
