CEBDS president Marina Grossi participated in the symposium on April 4th Greening Financial Decision Making – Financing the Green Transition, in Frankfurt, Germany, on financing the transition to a green economy. Organized by GIZ (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit), the event presented the latest research, instruments, and approaches for integrating environmental indicators into financial decision-making to mobilize capital for green investments. Based on this, measures were discussed that will enable the global financial system to support the transformation to this new economy.
Marina Grossi, president of CEBDS, was one of the speakers and spoke about financing the green transition with a focus on Brazil: "We have no doubt that green bonds have great potential. This new market is experiencing substantial gains in terms of the number and types of issuers, individual deal volumes, and capital allocation. Sufficient capital mobilization will be crucial to implementing low-carbon solutions at scale, and in this context, green bonds are a mechanism to drive such mobilization.". BNDES and the Central Bank also participated in the discussions.
