Companies recognize the importance of identifying and reporting their risks, impacts, and dependencies on biodiversity (EPANB Target 15).
Companies from 15 different sectors are qualifying for CEBDS projects to understand risks and opportunities related to nature.

Where are we going?
The Nature Action Platform supports companies in training and qualification in recognized methodologies for nature reporting, strengthening corporate transparency and promoting good business practices for biodiversity conservation and sustainable use of natural resources, contributing to expanding the capacity and maturity of the private sector in managing risks, impacts and dependencies of nature-related businesses in the country.

International Advocacy
Connecting the Brazilian business sector to the global debate promoted by the Convention on Biological Diversity (CBD), a UN treaty that guides countries in the protection and sustainable use of nature.
- Drafting recommendations and policy briefs with business and technical contributions to support the Brazilian government in COP/SBSTTA discussions and in setting national targets.
- Mobilizing the private sector through a call to action to encourage active business participation in COP16.
Companies participated in technical discussions on indicators for the goals of the Global Biodiversity Framework.
From Science to Business Action for Biodiversity
Technical-based influence on public policy
To strengthen the technical contribution of companies to the advancement of Target 15 and the implementation of the Global Biodiversity Framework (GBFNF) in Brazil, at all levels of government.
- Promoting multi-sectoral forums and debates to bring together government, businesses, and experts around the themes of biodiversity and the implementation of Target 15.
- Development of sector-specific pilot projects (the "Localize" phase, TNFD), connecting global goals to the reality of different productive sectors in Brazil.
Associated companies were qualified by CEBDS to apply the "Localize" phase of the LEAP methodology, proposed by TNFD.

Engagement for Positive Nature
To foster transparency and strengthen internal capabilities to integrate nature into corporate decisions and governance.
- Assessing the maturity of companies in reporting on sustainability and nature to drive accountability and promote concrete change in how companies perceive, manage, and report on their relationship with the natural resources and ecosystems on which they depend and which they influence.
- Establishing strategic partnerships and coordinating the TNFD Brazil Consultative Group, promoting the alignment of companies with global nature reporting frameworks.
Our member companies are already TNFD Adopters, demonstrating leadership and commitment to corporate transparency.
Kunming-Montreal Global Biodiversity Framework
A historic agreement signed during COP15 (2022) with the objective of halting and reversing the loss of global biodiversity in the short, medium and long term. This international commitment guides countries to internalize the goals of the Global Biodiversity Framework into their national strategies, known as NBSF (National Biodiversity Strategies and Action Plans).

Nature Report Preparer Forum
The Nature Report Preparer Forum (NRPF) 2025 is a global capacity-building initiative in nature reporting coordinated by the WBCSD in partnership with PRI and UNEP-FI, and officially recognized by TNFD. In Brazil, CEBDS coordinates the project, leading the implementation of the methodology and providing training aimed at qualifying participating companies.
Community of Practice
The CEBDS Community of Practice is a collaborative space that promotes knowledge sharing and technically strengthens companies in nature reporting. Since 2023, the initiative has qualified companies and financial institutions to apply the LEAP methodology through practical activities and sectoral debates. CEBDS also coordinates the TNFD Consultation Group in Brazil.
