Road transport occupies a central position in the decarbonization of Brazilian mobility, concentrating the majority of freight and passenger movement and approximately 93% of the transport sector's emissions. The executive report presents the main findings of the Transport Coalition for this mode, including scenarios for the evolution of the logistics matrix and emission reduction levers related to operational efficiency, infrastructure and fleet modernization, increased use of biofuels, and advancements in electrification and Power-to-X solutions. The publication points to ways to reconcile the growth in demand for road transport with greater efficiency, technological innovation, and a significant reduction in emissions by 2050.
