Panel 1: Geopolitics and climate: Brazil's place in the reorganization of the world economy.
The world is already reorganizing itself. New commercial, technological, and geopolitical disputes, coupled with the transition to a low-carbon economy, are redefining investments, production chains, and the conditions of competitiveness among countries. This panel starts from a concrete question: what does Brazil need to decide and do now to occupy a strategic position in this new global economy?
From the perspectives of diplomacy, economics, international relations, and the business sector, the debate will seek to identify choices, priorities, and actions capable of transforming Brazil's advantages – clean energy, biodiversity, agro-industrial capacity, and diplomatic relevance – into investment, competitiveness, development, and value creation.
The goal is to move from diagnosis to action: which decisions can no longer be postponed, who needs to make them, and what needs to start now?
Speakers:
André Corrêa do Lago – President of COP30
Roberto Azevêdo – Career diplomat and specialist in global negotiations
Marina Grossi – President of CEBDS and special envoy of the Private Sector to COP30
Eduardo Gianetti – Professor and Member of the Brazilian Academy of Letters
Solange Ribeiro – Vice President of Neoenergia
11:45 AM to 12:30 PM
Panel 2: Letter to Presidential Candidates: CEBDS's Proposed Agenda for 2026
Brazil enters 2026 facing a contradiction: it possesses some of the most relevant advantages for the emerging economy – clean energy, biodiversity, food production, natural resources, and market scale – but still struggles to convert them, at the necessary speed, into investment, innovation, productivity, and development.
The CEBDS Sustainable Congress 2026 aims to address this gap between potential and realization.
In a world of new geopolitical, commercial, and technological disputes, the meeting will bring together leaders from different sectors to discuss the decisions Brazil needs to make to transform its advantages into development, security, and investment.
Transform reflection into direction, and direction into action.

Marina de Paula – Managing Partner of Patri
Marina Grossi – President of CEBDS and Special Envoy of the Private Sector to COP30

Panel 3: The Value of the Forest: How do flying rivers support Brazil's water, energy, and food security?
How can forests protect Brazil's water, energy, and food in an increasingly unstable climate? The "flying rivers" transport moisture from the Amazon, regulate rainfall in different regions of the country, and supply cities and reservoirs, sustaining hydroelectric power generation and agricultural production. Deforestation and climate change threaten this system, increasing the risks of droughts, energy crises, and agricultural losses. This discussion will connect forests, climate, and economic security, showing how preserving these "flying rivers" strengthens water resilience, mitigates risks, and becomes a strategic agenda for Brazil's development.
Speakers:
Juliano Assunção – Executive Director of the Climate Policy Initiative
André Guimarães – Executive Director of Ipam (Amazon Environmental Research Institute)
Juliana Lopes – President of Sustainability at Amaggi
Camila Gualda – Vice President of Governance and Sustainability at Axia

Panel 4: The Value of Trust: What Attracts Large Investments in the Age of Uncertainty?
