Under the theme 'From ambition to implementation', has begun in Montreux, Switzerland, bringing together around 500 of the world’s leading sustainability leaders. The event, which will take place from April 11 to 14, aims to explore the lessons learned in 2015 and build on the post-Paris momentum.
Organized by the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), the meeting will feature an agenda that places the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), established by the UN, at the center of discussions. The objective will be to further clarify the role of companies in relation to the SDGs and also to share new methods and areas of innovation.
Marina Grossi, president of CEBDS, will participate in the panel “Delivering through the Global Network”, on the 12th, when he will have the opportunity to describe the progress of the Brazilian market in relation to the SDGs, the stage in which Brazilian companies find themselves and how they are incorporating these guidelines into their main strategies and day-to-day business. He will also talk a little about the commitment of the Brazilian State. The idea is to show that the government has always been involved in international environmental negotiations such as COPs or Rio + 20, and that now, with a serious political crisis, the role of CEBDS will be even more important for the continuity of these conversations.
