Efficient water use in Brazil

  • Posted in 10/06/2016

The Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), in partnership with GIZ — a German government cooperation agency that offers sustainable solutions in processes of economic, social and political change — will launch the study Efficient Water Use – Opportunities for Companies and Financial Institutions, on June 14, 2016, from 9 am to 1 pm, at Casa do Saber, in São Paulo – SP.

The new publication will serve as a guide to support companies and financial institutions in making decisions about investments and business opportunities for an efficient water economy in Brazil. The event will bring together financial institutions, companies, experts on the subject and public authorities to discuss the reality that the business sector is experiencing, with the aim of enabling financial instruments that prioritize sustainability.

Participants will include Benedito Braga, president of the World Water Council (WWC) and who will open the event; Marina Grossi, president of CEBDS and who will lead the discussion panel on Implications for the Brazilian Corporate Sector; Yannick Motz, Project Manager for Dialogues on Green Finance for Developing Markets at GIZ; Gustavo Pimentel, Executive Director of SITAWI, who will present the results of the study, in addition to other speakers.
