Today, May 7th, members of our Council of Leaders met with Aloizio Mercadante, President of BNDES, in Rio de Janeiro. Topics such as the floods in Rio Grande do Sul, energy transition, green taxonomy and the carbon market were on the agenda.
Presided over by Marina Freitas Grossi and Luciana Costa (Director of Infrastructure, Energy Transition and Climate Change at BNDES), the meeting highlighted the importance of transforming comparative advantages into competitive ones, especially as Brazil leads global events such as the G20 and COP30.
To expand cooperation between companies and BNDES, a working group was created so that public policy proposals suggested by the private sector are better founded.
The CEBDS Leadership Council is made up of executives from member companies and plays an essential role in promoting these discussions.
