Ambassador André Corrêa do Lago, President of COP30, and Ana Toni, CEO of the Climate Conference, released the list of 30 Special Envoys, who will act voluntarily and strategically in the COP preparatory process this Wednesday (14). Later this month, the Federal Government will hold an official event with the COP30 Special Envoys in Brasília.

“This appointment is, above all, a recognition of the increasingly strategic role of the business sector in building climate solutions, and of the work we have done at CEBDS to mobilize companies around a common, ambitious and action-oriented agenda. And I am certain that this group of Special Envoys will make a great contribution, as it is formed by representatives from different segments of society,” highlights Marina Grossi who, in addition to CEBDS, serves as a member of the Boards of Directors of national and international companies and organizations.
The appointment of the executive reinforces the importance of CEBDS, which brings together 120 large companies and acts as a bridge between the business sector, the government and other national and global actors, to position Brazil as a leader in integrated climate solutions.
The business sector also celebrates the appointment of Senior Advisor for COP30 of CEBDS and the World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD), Marcelo Behar, as COP 30 Special Envoy for Biodiversity. Since September 2024, Marcelo has been working with CEBDS and WBCSD to mobilize companies and intensify actions for decarbonization, environmental recovery and reduction of inequalities, in view of the opportunities brought by the first Climate Conference to be held in Brazil.
