CEBDS promoted the launch of the Reporting Matters initiative during the 11th Sustainable Congress. We brought to Brazil an exclusive benefit for associated companies, developed in partnership with group report.
The initiative was launched by WBCSD – World Business Council for Sustainable Development, in collaboration with Radley Yeldar and, with its exclusive analysis methodology, aims to optimize the effectiveness of sustainability reports.
When analyzing reports, member companies are provided with detailed scorecards, highlighting three strengths and three areas for improvement. Additionally, the public benefits from a publication that highlights trends in sustainability reporting and exemplifies good practices.

The founding partner of group report, Stephen Pereira, states that “the arrival of Reporting Matters is an important step forward for sustainability reporting in Brazil. We are pleased to once again work side by side with CEBDS in building this overview that will identify best practices and the most effective approaches. The project reinforces the key role of reporting in companies tackling the major social and environmental challenges in Brazil and around the world.”
To ensure the quality and integrity of the reports, a Plural Committee was established to play a crucial role in cross-reviewing the analyses. This review involves randomly selecting at least 10% from the reports, which is equivalent to eight out of a total of 78 reports this year.
The committee is composed of three members, including a representative of CEBDS (Anna Mendes – Institutional Relations, Fundraising and Events Analyst), a representative of an associated company with recognized expertise in the area (Marcelo Vieira da Silva Dias – Sustainability Manager at Approach Communication) and an external representative, also with in-depth knowledge of the subject (adriana leles – Vice Chair of the GRI Stakeholder Council). Members meet once a year to fulfill this important mission of ensuring the quality of reports.
