COP 28

Hosted by the United Arab Emirates, the 28th United Nations Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP28) (UNFCCC) takes place in Dubai from November 30 to December 12, 2023.

The World Climate Action Summit will take place on Friday, December 1st and Saturday, December 2nd, 2023. The Summit will welcome world leaders to present their progress and ambitions in all areas of the Paris Agreement, providing impetus and guidance for the rest of the COP.

The focus of COP28 will be on translating climate commitments into tangible action and progress. The COP recognizes the urgency of the climate crisis in the face of ongoing environmental challenges and extreme weather events around the world. Recent events such as severe flooding and heatwaves highlight the pressing need to take significant steps towards climate mitigation and adaptation.
