CEBDS creates a memory game to teach about the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs)

Rio de Janeiro, September 25th. To mark the third anniversary of the SDGs, the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS) created a memory game that connects each goal's icon to its meaning. The idea for this playful tool arose from the need to reinforce the communication of the global action plan that the UN launched in 2015 to solve the planet's most serious social and environmental problems.

The Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) represent the unified desires of society, government, and business for a better world. Through a massive global consultation process, the 17 goals and 169 targets to be achieved by 2030 were announced on September 25, 2015. The process was led by the UN, but brings together the desires of governments, businesses, and civil society.

"The 73rd UN General Assembly is currently underway, where heads of state from around the world are meeting to establish a global agenda for the following year. This year's debate will focus on global leadership, but also on the shared responsibility of building peaceful and sustainable societies. That's why we need to get the SDG targets off the drawing board and into the minds and hands of people in governments, businesses, and society at large," says Marina Grossi, president of CEBDS.

The memory game is available for download at CEBDS website and can be used in schools, domestic recreational activities or in institutional dynamics on Sustainability.
