We participated in a meeting with the senator Tereza Cristina, one of the main interlocutors for the Carbon Market PL approval. The text can be voted on in August in the Federal Senate.
The meeting, held in Brasília, on July 10, was organized by the Brazil Climate, Forest and Agriculture Coalition, to which CEBDS contributes as co-leader of the Carbon Market FT.
Present were the director of Climate, Energy and Sustainable Finance, Viviane Romeiro, the Co-facilitator of the Coalition, Fernando Sampaio – ABIEC (Brazilian Association of Meat Exporting Industries), the Coalition's Advocacy coordinator, Iuri Cardoso, and the co-leader of FT Mercados de Carbono, Gabriela Canto Pires Santos Savian (IPAM).
