This month, we had two intense days of debate about private reserves and Private Conservation Areas (OMECs), during the 1st Private Reserves Workshop, at the Vale Natural Reserve, in Linhares.
The event was held in partnership with Vale and Reservas Votorantim.
The Vale Reserve, committed to preservation since the 1970s, was the perfect setting to promote this necessary and enriching meeting, which strengthened the understanding and sharing of good practices that have been carried out by the private sector and that directly contribute to the new Kunming-Montreal global biodiversity framework, especially for goal 3 (the famous 30×30 goal), in addition to effectively contributing to the recognition of the vital role of private protected areas.
Dialogue between participants was essential for sharing knowledge and experiences, contributing significantly to cooperation in favor of biodiversity.
