This Thursday, May 9th, the headquarters of our associate Vivo (Telefônica Brasil) hosted the Human Rights and Business Seminar, organized by us, which brought together experts, partners and associates.
During the exclusive event for associated companies, the panels addressed relevant topics, such as the international context of human rights and companies and the paths for Brazil in relation to the topic, considering the possible transition from voluntary principles to mandatory principles.
In addition, we launched the Human Rights Thermometer report, a collaboration between CEBDS and PROACTIVA RESULTS, focused on measuring the degree of companies' adherence to the most important human and business rights guidelines.
The report presented the unprecedented results of applying the tool with CEBDS companies. 42 associates from 12 economic sectors participated. These respondents had 63% overall adherence to the thermometer.
The Thermometer is a social technology that offers a snapshot of companies' hot spots on the business and human rights agenda, based on more than 400 analytical parameters referenced to address gaps and risks.
The event reaffirms our commitment to promoting human rights in the business environment and we renew the ties that unite our associates on this important journey to advance the commitment to human rights.
