Our Working Group dedicated to the Circular Economy is an initiative that aims to prioritize the implementation of strategies and solutions that promote the redesign of production processes, aiming to eliminate waste and pollution, extend the useful life of products and materials, and regenerate natural systems.
In an exclusive event held in partnership with the Ellen MacArthur Foundation, recognized as the main global authority on the circular economy, our members had the opportunity to participate in a workshop with a lecture given by Guilherme Suertegaray, renowned Senior Project Manager for Latin America at the foundation.
The central theme of the presentation was “Redesigning Products and Business Models for a Circular Economy”, highlighting the importance of the transition to more sustainable and regenerative economic models. Representatives of associated companies Ambipar, Bracell, ENGIE Brasil, TRACTEBEL, Neoenergia, Arcadis, M. Dias Branco, CBA | Companhia Brasileira de Alumínio, Suzano, Equinor, Globo, Siemens, ALLOS, Porto do Açu, New Wave, Natura &Co and Arezzo&Co.
Based on this initiative, CEBDS outlined an ambitious vision for the year 2025, in which the circular economy becomes the core of business decisions, bringing tangible and quantifiable benefits.
