On March 31st, CEBDS president Marina Grossi met with minister Izabella Teixeira and other members of the Network of Brazilian Women Leaders for Sustainability in a meeting that took place in São Paulo.
With the aim of discussing the future emissions reduction agreement that will be negotiated at COP21 at the end of the year in Paris and highlighting the importance of women in establishing a sustainable global economy, Izabella Teixeira highlights: “The climate agenda is an economic and development agenda: the whole of society needs to be engaged”
Formed in 2011, the Network encourages sustainability actions among women who work in leadership positions in public and private institutions, whether for-profit or not. The common factor that unites these female leaders is their interest in promoting a strong development agenda that takes women and sustainability into consideration. “Each one has to work in an integrated manner within their area,” argued Marina Grossi, who is also a member of the Network’s advisory board.
