CEBDS holds webinar to discuss challenges and opportunities for the business sector in the Amazon

The event, which will be online and free, will feature the participation of executives to exchange experiences and tools to be developed.

The Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS) will hold the webinar “The Business Sector in the Amazon” next Monday (5), the date on which Amazon Day is celebrated, from 10 am to 11:30 am. The event, online and free, is an initiative of the Business Movement for the Amazon, which since 2020 has sought to reinforce the sector's position in the construction of a new development model for the region, which shows that it is possible to produce and conserve.

The speakers include Hugo Barreto, Director of Sustainability and Social Investment at Vale; Ana Carolina Felix, Director of Sustainability for the Americas for Dow's Consumer Solutions Business; Giordano Automate, Executive Manager of Social Development at Suzano; Rakel Caminha, an artist from Manaus; and Marina Grossi, President of CEBDS. They will discuss the challenges and lessons learned from implementing conservation and sustainable use actions in the Amazon biome, as well as share companies' practices focused on conservation and sustainable use of the region, as well as the tools to be developed to maximize potential positive impacts.
