The first season of the TV show Brasil 2050 has as its backdrop the document Vision Brazil 2050 and presents a series of 13 episodes – 26 minutes each – that travels throughout Brazil presenting successful sustainability projects, actions and initiatives in companies, governments and civil society, which serve as inspiration for building a more socially just, environmentally responsible and economically viable country. The program will give national visibility to sustainable actions recognized by society, showing that they can be taken as models to be replicated.
Brazil and its people, with their creativity and diversity, carry out countless sustainable projects that are still little known by Brazilians themselves. Using a non-traditional format, each case is presented by local characters, participants in the project in question. The camera observes the action and guides the narrative. The guiding thread is the impact of the project on the daily lives of the citizens directly or indirectly involved.
The programs are divided into two or three blocks. Experts give testimonies on technical aspects of the topics discussed in each episode: Local Development, Shared Value, Biodiversity and Forests, Urban Mobility, Energy, Water, Agriculture, Construction, Waste and Economy. The testimonies are interspersed with reports that address success stories that fit the topic covered. Each report is a short documentary.
