What do a teacher from São Paulo, a scientist from Pernambuco and an engineer from Minas Gerais have in common? Alongside 15 other professionals from the most diverse areas and places in the country, they are competing for an award for having their work aligned with one of the 17 UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The initiative is from the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS), which in this edition of the Women's Leadership Award opened the category “Popular Vote” to recognize the work of women nominated by the public for a better world.
“We received excellent suggestions from the public and the number of votes exceeded our expectations. In response to requests, we have extended the voting deadline so that those who have not yet voted can choose their preferred candidate until August 25th,” invites the president of CEBDS, Marina Grossi.
