The CEBDS commitment to the preservation of water resources and the promotion of sustainability are reflected in our active participation in the Working Group (GT) Non-potable water reuse and the use of Rainwater, led by the Ministry of the Environment and the Ministry of Cities .
Through the work of the Water Thematic Chamber and the Circular Economy Initiative, we aim to significantly contribute to the development of federal regulations that will directly impact the reduction in the demand for drinking water in less restrictive uses. Thus establishing the improvement of environmental quality and the promotion of sustainability, in line with SDG 6 – Sustainable Development Goals.
The technical analyst at the Water Thematic Chamber, André Melo, highlights the importance of this joint work: “The participation of CEBDS in the Working Group to create the draft on non-potable reuse of gray water and use of rainwater is a strategic opportunity to actively contribute to the definition of guidelines that promote environmental sustainability, as well as strengthening the legal security of business in the corporate sector”.
