Disclosure in the Braskem Annual Report

Water is one of the main focuses of materiality in Braskem's Annual Report, which transparently reports indices and values for monitoring parameters of water consumption and effluent generation. In addition, it presents a series of projects and initiatives that expand each year and that take the company to a high level of water resources management as recognized by CDP Water.

The Annual Report is a great challenge and within it, Braskem has been very successful in maintaining water as one of the main focuses of materiality, annually reporting in a transparent manner not only indices and values for monitoring parameters of water consumption and effluent generation, but as a series of projects and initiatives that expand each year and that take the company to a high level of water resources management as recognized by CDP Water.

Braskem is one of the 12 companies to reach leadership level A in CDP Water in 2017, and its goal is to maintain this level. This level recognizes the good data management and monitoring system, provided by a third party, whose presentation is summarized in the Annual Report, including achievement of goals, investments and general data on consumption, effluents, among others. Braskem also publishes on its website information on the achievement of the company's Macro Goal for Water Efficiency, which is monitored by the Board of Directors. The company was also named the best on water among global chemical companies by CDP's Catalyst for Change 2017 report.

The plan is to remain in the leadership (A List Latin America) of the CDP and continue to show in the company's Annual Report the results of the company's water projects and initiatives.
