After identifying the hydrographic basins with a high water risk for its operations, the company defined which suppliers operating in these same basins would be voluntarily invited to respond to the CDP Water Supply. In order to encourage suppliers to respond, the company finances training and monitoring responses with official CDP support and participation in the CDP Exchange Latin America platform.
When Braskem mapped, in its Climate Change Adaptation Plan, the River Basins with high water risk for its operations, the company defined that suppliers operating in these same basins would be invited voluntarily to respond to the CDP Water Supply. In 2020, we reached the engagement rate of 77% from invited suppliers, reaching 119 critical suppliers in water.
