Today (05), we at the Brazilian Business Council for Sustainable Development (CEBDS) are celebrating a significant milestone in our journey: 27 years of commitment to sustainable development in Brazil.
Since our founding in 1997 by a visionary group of Brazilian businesspeople, we have been the voice of the business sector in favor of a new business model, which balances economic, social and environmental aspects.
In these almost three decades, we have stood out as a reference initiative in Brazil, playing an important role in articulating, mobilizing and engaging in the major challenges that affect our climate, nature and society.
Through dialogue with governments and civil society, sharing knowledge and developing innovative tools, we anticipate trends, preparing companies for the future. Thus, we have inspired leaders in all sectors of the economy to adopt sustainable practices and contribute to the sustainable development of our country.
On the global stage, we also stand out as an important actor, participating in international networks and coalitions, expanding our influence and contributing to the construction of a more sustainable global agenda.
As agents of transformation, we are leading and co-creating the steps that make up a more equitable and sustainable economy, not only for this generation, but also for future ones.
