CEBDS was present at the Preparatory Conference in Bonn, between the 5th and 15th of June, represented by the Director of Climate, Energy and Sustainable Finance, Viviane Romeiro. The annual event represents a milestone on the way to the COPs and aims to advance and continue discussions on critical points on the Paris Agreement agenda and prepare draft decisions for adoption at the COP.

Technical discussions in Bonn involved important topics such as the Global Stocktake, mitigation and adaptation actions, climate finance, just transition and loss and damage, which will be taken to the negotiating tables at COP 28.

Understanding the results and referrals of the Pre-COP, as it is usually called, is a fundamental step for the government, business sector and civil society to strategically prepare for COP 28, which will take place at the end of the year in Dubai.
