We are part of the Advisory Committee of the Interinstitutional Committee, which will support the construction of the Brazilian Sustainable Taxonomy

CEBDS was one of 18 institutions selected to to integrate O Interinstitutional Committee on Brazilian Sustainable Taxonomy (CITSB), established by Decree 11,961 of March 2024.

The CITSB, chaired by the Ministry of Finance, has the mission of developing and implementing a classification system for activities, assets and projects that comply with Brazil's sustainability strategy.

The sustainable finance taxonomy is an instrument used to mobilize and redirect capital flows for investments to combat the climate crisis. Based on objective and scientifically based analysis, it will provide specific criteria and indicators that will allow assessing whether an activity contributes to sustainability and/or to the transition to a sustainable economy, responding to the country's main environmental and social challenges.

Developing a sustainable taxonomy adapted to Brazil is essential due to the national reality that differs significantly from the European one.

Our presence on this committee reinforces our commitment to a sustainable future, promoting investments adapted to Brazilian realities.
