Renewable energy projects add up to R$ 20 billion in investments for Ceará

If the State of Ceará is successful in the next two energy auctions, the volume of investment in renewable energy could go from R$ 8 billion, from ongoing projects, to R$ 20 billion. The projection is from the Secretary of Economic Development and Labor of Ceará, Maia Júnior.

The installed capacity of the 126 projects in Ceará accredited by the Energy Research Company (EPE) reaches 5,011 megawatts (MW). With 3,165 MW from 82 photovoltaic installations and 1,846 MW from 64 wind farms. The State of Bahia, which submitted the most proposals, offers 456 projects, with a capacity of 14,007 MW. And Rio Grande do Norte 10,518 MW in 305 projects.
