Do you know what Brazilians’ main concern is regarding the environment?

The Earth Day 2019 survey, carried out by Ipsos, between February 22nd and March 8th of this year, shows that Brazilians' main concern regarding environmental issues is deforestation, considered the most important topic by 53% of those consulted. When analyzing the research in global terms, the main topic highlighted is global warming, with 37% of responses.

In Brazil, water pollution comes in second place (44%), followed by how to deal with the waste produced (36%), global warming (29%), depletion of natural resources (23%) and the problem of flooding mentioned by 18% of the interviewees. “Global warming is also one of the important topics in Brazil, but what draws the most attention is deforestation, which is much more mentioned in Brazil than on the global average”, said Business Director at Ipsos, Karen Klas, in an interview to Agência Brasil.
