This publication presents an overview of green bonds in the Brazilian context, addressing the ecosystem in which this market has been developing, the main actors involved, the issuance process and the challenges of expanding green bonds in the country. The study is part of a global project promoted by the Strategic Alliance, which brings together GIZ, a German cooperation agency, and SEB, a pioneering Swedish bank in issuing green bonds. CEBDS is a partner in the project in Brazil. With this publication, CEBDS seeks to expand knowledge and boost the green bond market in the country, providing inputs for decision-making in companies.
