Carbon Pricing Guide

This guide aims to clarify what carbon pricing is, its mechanisms and examples of application by governments, companies and investors. It is part of a project by CDP and the Brazilian Business Council for the
Sustainable Development (CEBDS), supported by the Instituto Clima e Sociedade – ICS, which includes an engagement session, a video and a case study on the use of an internal carbon price.

This project inserts Brazil into the international discussions of Carbon Price Pathways, an initiative by the World Bank, CDP and We Mean Business, which aims to build narratives of carbon pricing scenarios, offering a toolkit to guide the strategy of companies, investors and governments to limit global warming at 2ºC in relation to the average temperature of the industrial period. A brief description of this toolkit can be seen at the end of this publication.
