Ambev created and makes the SAVEh platform available free of charge to any interested company, which calculates water losses in processes. Through this platform, we share our expertise in reducing water consumption with other companies that use the resource in their production process.
Our efforts in favor of water security are not limited to guaranteeing improved consumption efficiency, but we also work on different fronts with projects related to water. The tool also makes it possible for companies to create customized reports to monitor the indicators and disseminate the results to the internal public, customers and suppliers, among others. In addition to helping preserve water, the platform also provides companies with benefits such as reducing production costs, increasing competitiveness, increasing water security in the industry and its production chain, and maintaining jobs.
There is medium and long-term planning, done individually, taking into account the characteristics and specificities of each project.
One of the five new environmental targets announced in 2018 establishes that, by 2025, 100% of our communities in areas of high water risk will have, in a measurable way, better quality and availability of the resource. Our projects contribute to the fulfillment of our Global goal and are measured individually, through the monitoring of defined indicators that direct us to the correct monitoring of our evolution and contribution to the environment and the community.
