When Braskem mapped the hydrographic basins with high water risk for its operations in its Climate Change Adaptation Plan, the company decided that suppliers operating in these same basins would be voluntarily invited to respond to the CDP Water Supply.
In order to encourage suppliers to respond, the company finances training and monitoring responses with official CDP support and participation in the CDP Exchange Latin America platform. In addition, it was instituted in the supplier selection process bonus points to those who respond to CDP Water, regardless of whether or not they are in the risk areas identified. In 2017, the engagement rate of 76% of invited suppliers was reached, with 54 invited.
Maintain the engagement level equal to or above 75% of the invited companies.
The evaluation will refer to the percentage of participating supplier companies in relation to the number of invited companies.
