In a meeting promoted by CEBDS, vice-president Geraldo Alckmin received a document requesting the creation of a regulated carbon market in Brazil. The letter was delivered during a private meeting in São Paulo, with the presence of the CEOs of the associated companies, on May 27th.
The text emphasizes the importance of this regulated market in the transition to a green economy, which will increase productivity and create more jobs and income for Brazilians. The regulated carbon market will be an important incentive for directing investments towards cleaner technologies, as the CEBDS is a tool that acts to reduce the emission of greenhouse gases that cause global warming.
The CEBDS letter already has 45 signatories and continues to receive signatures. Check out the full document: https://cebds.org/publicacoes/posicionamento-do-setor-empresarial-brasileiro-sobre-a-urgencia-de-criacao-de-um-mercado-regulado-de-carbono-no- Brazil
