Brazil's transition to a low-carbon economy offers opportunities to increase productivity, create jobs and generate income. There are vast opportunities in the areas of bioeconomy, infrastructure, connectivity, carbon credits and nature-based solutions. To make this transition viable, one of the most efficient mechanisms for reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions associated with economic activities, which even has the potential to leverage our comparative advantages, is the creation of a regulated carbon market in the national scope.
